Is the Samsung Galaxy S9 tablet still worth buying? ›

If you are simply looking for the very best tablet money can buy, then this is a very good choice. The thing is, I said the same thing about last year's model. The key for productivity tablets like this is the software and, on that front, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra still feels a bit like a work in progress.

Charging speed

There is no adapter supplied with the tablet. We used Samsung's 45W PD+PPS charger for our test. The 45W adapter recharged the empty 11,200mAh battery to 17% in 15 minutes and up to 32% in 30 minutes. A full charge took 2 hours and 8 minutes.

My conclusion on android devices is you can expect 3 years of service from a respectable brand, or 4 years for top-of-the-line Samsung devices.
